A greener classroom is a healthier classroom

It is important that the space where children spend a large part of the day for many years is also a safe and healthy space. We breathe on average 20,000 times a day. This is often more for children who pay and run around. At school, children spend a large part of their day inside. Coarse dust is the result of mechanical processes and airborne dust, the ultra-fine dust particulates are produced through combustion processes like in cars. The ultra-fine dust particulates are especially harmful and can force their way deep into the body via the lungs to cause damage. The World Health Organization (WHO) says that across the globe, more than 90 percent of children under 15 years old breathe air every day that is so polluted it may put their health at risk. Children are more vulnerable to polluted air because they breathe faster.
