Indoor green wall in the Harzhotel in Schindelbruch Germany
- Location: Schindelbruch Duitsland
In the Harzhotel in Schindelbruch in the Sudharz in Germany, an 8 square metre LivePanel green wall has been installed. The living wall is located in the hotel’s reception area and gives the hotel the appearance of a nature resort. The green plant wall brings in the lush greenery from the surrounding area, thus creating a natural and relaxed indoor environment. The wall full of plants extracts CO2 from the air and converts it into oxygen. The wall full of plants also stimulates the production of oxygen and makes the air purer. By placing a wall full of plants in the reception you not only create a healthy indoor climate but also an eye-catcher that guests will not easily forget.
First CO2-neutral hotel
The mission of the hotel is to preserve the natural Harz landscape, as it is the largest heritage of the region. The hotel contributes to the preservation of nature through an ecological concept, ensuring that people can continue to experience its beauty. The Harzhotel is located in the middle of nature and is the first CO2-neutral hotel in the centre of Germany. They encourage their guests to travel as CO2-neutrally as possible. For example, by exploring the area on foot, by bike or by public transport. For example, the hotel offers free electric bicycles and transfers with electric cars. The Harzhotel wants to show and prove that tourism and ecology can go hand in hand and that sustainability is possible, even at superior hotels.
