Amazing venue, amazing food, amazing LivePictures

Gourmet dining alongside living art

This LivePicture install, brought to life quite literally by Auburn Living Walls adorns the walls at The Slaughterhouse restaurant on the edge of the Castle Pier harbour in Guernsey. Contending admirably with the curved plasterboard wall, the Live Pictures now give diners a splash of natural interest.  Planted with Monstera and Maranta for their green lush foliage and low light tolerance, guests can enjoy the positive health effects of live plants during their gourmet dining experience.

Spaces are fully utilized

LivePicture is a living painting, easy to maintain and only needs to be supplied with water once every four to six weeks. This is due to the integrated water basin in the frame of the painting. Because the LivePicture is attached to the walls in the restaurant, you create a green environment without losing space. The space is fully utilized.

The plants in the LivePicture can easily be replaced. This way you can add different planting every season to create a whole new atmosphere in the restaurant. LivePicture is often used in kitchens to, for example, plant fresh herbs. This is how you make a herb garden in your own kitchen!
