1977 – Royal honour for Louis Ilsink

On 10 July 1977, Louis Ilsink received a royal honour, a special recognition for his achievements in the green sector and his contribution to innovation within the tree nursery. This award was not only a tribute to his personal leadership and vision, but also a confirmation of the importance of the work done at the nursery.

As part of this recognition, Queen Beatrix visited the nursery in 1978. This visit underlined the prestige of the nursery as a leading player in the industry. During her visit, the queen was given a tour of the nursery, where she was informed about its unique approach, innovative products and the company’s role in promoting sustainable and functional greenery in the Netherlands.

The royal award and Queen Beatrix’s visit marked an important moment in the history of the nursery, which is proudly remembered to this day.
