The new residential area called ‘Haagse Hendrik’ is provided with green hedges that function as boundary fences. In total, 200 Mobilane Green Screens Hedera hibernica have been installed by T&G Terrein en Groenvoorziening (part of T&G Group). As contractors’ collective, they realise and manage outdoor spaces, from fencing to street work and roof gardens to sewerage. Extremely versatile! The green hedges have been combined with wooden fences and green roofs have also been installed.
Instant green and privacy
‘‘At the end of 2020, we were approached by housing corporation Haag Wonen to implement greenery in the new construction project Haagse Hendrik. One of the ideas of T&G was to realise a part of the boundary fences with living greenery. To ensure that residents have privacy immediately in their garden, it was chosen for the Mobilane Green Screen. The Mobilane Green Screen is a well-known product by T&G that can be installed in an easy and fast way and is frequently used for these kinds of situations. The immediate result is appealing to the employees, our client and also its residents.” – George van Lit, T&G Terrein en Groenvoorziening.

New residential area Haagse Hendrik
Spoorwijk/Laak almost has 154 new homes. The new construction project Haagse Hendrik from Haag Wonen is almost ready. On the site where 138 old homes were located, 154 new ‘gasless’ have been built on the Jonathanstraat, Van Meursstraat, Dr. Schaepmanstraat and the Schimmelweg. At the end of October, 104 small single-family homes and 2 story houses were completed. The 50 apartments will be completed in February.
Sustainable and green
The new houses are very energy efficient and do not use natural gas. Greenery in the neighborhood has also been considered. There are small hedges in front of the house and green hedges between the backyards. Thanks to the municipality of The Hague, the storages also have a green roof. This way, residents will have a beautiful view, rainwater is properly absorbed and we also help biodiversity.
