Pyracantha coccinea ‘Dart’s Red’ is also known as the Firethorn. ‘Dart’s Red’ is a hardy plant that can tolerate a wide range of soil conditions, although it prefers well-drained soil. This hedge is also drought-tolerant and can thrive in full sun or semi-shade. The Firethorn can tolerate temperatures down to -20 degrees Celsius, making it a very hardy plant. It stays green all year round but changes throughout the seasons. As a result, there is always something different to see.

Pyracantha from flower to berry

The Pyracantha hedge is a vigorous hedge with small, white flowers in summer and vibrant, bright red berries in autumn and winter. The leaves of ‘Dart’s Red’ are a glossy dark green.
